Bridal Show: Day One

We had an excellent day at the Wedding Planner & Guide Bridal Show on Saturday.  Booked a couple of weddings for Krystal and the Associate Team and talked to A LOT of people with 2012 wedding dates. I have only four or five more weddings that will fit into my schedule; Krystal has a little more availability but that could fill up fast based on our conversations yesterday. So check your wedding date with us now before it is too late!

If you are coming by the show, we are at booth number 417.  Hope to see you there!

I’m sure you don’t need anyone to tell you this… but you are insanely awesome!

Telling the groom’s story

Copyright Michael MowbrayI see wedding albums with multi-page spreads showing the bride getting ready, details of the dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the hair.  But what about the groom?  Sure, there are a couple of shots of him in his tux hanging with the groomsmen. But how often does he receive the same attention as the bride?  Unfortunately, not often, and many times that is by choice.  It’s too bad, though, because I feel the need to balance the bridal story with a similar “groomal” story. Fortunately, I get a chance to show the groom getting ready every once in awhile, like I demonstrate here with Ryan.  First of all, he and Stacie BOTH wanted their wedding prep time to be covered.  Secondly, I can easily accommodate the request since I always have a second photographer with me.  In this case, I left Stacie in Krystal’s capable hands while I hung out with Ryan in his suite. This gave us a chance to photograph each side of the story as it happened simultaneously.

It gave us a balanced coverage that honestly just can’t be attained by a single photographer running back and forth.
